Do I need to take regular meds in PCOD?

My periods stay irregular due to PCOD. I take medicines and then leave them once the period comes.  As my periods are rarely regular on their own, Is it safe to take medicines every month for PCOD? Will it not mess with my hormones?

If u want ur periods to be regular without medicine The only way would be to exercise n maintain a healthy bmi Till then low dose ocp is the only way to help u get ur periods in time
