Do cats have rabies ?

Hello doctore , actually my concern is , yesterday I was having lunch with my friend at a dhaba where there were many kittens playing around Now to my suprise my stupidious friend was constantly feeding the kittens with his hands while eatimg and touching the same common food of ours So is there any need to concern for the same because I remain really anxious of these things and believe hat the rabies virus could spread like this to me. Please guide !!!

You need not worry sir. Rabies virus spreads only if a sick or Rabid animal BITES you. Rabies is not known to spread by oral route or through food. You can rest assured.

No rabies in cats is uncommon but if cats scratch they can cause cat scratch disease . Cat saliva caused allergies
