First you should go for gingival problems,  there are many options for gingival recession including some surgical procedure,  then you can go for diastema closure by composite build up or by veenering the teeth depends upon the distance between two teeth

First consultant a periodontist who can suggest you the best treatment or surgery needed for the grade of recession you are having. After the gum therapy you can go for veneers or crowns to close the gap . Also take a suggestion on closing the gap by orthodontic means but if you have periodontitis with poor bone support its better to avoid orthodontic treatment.

Hello. If you have a diastema and you know you have a gingival recession, you need to first treat the gingival problem. There are a lot of options  recession, including surgical and cosmetic. Once your gums are healthy, you can treat your diastema by cosmetic building up of teeth ,crowns or othodontically.
