Difficulty in voice

We have got ct scan done and it says that there is an evidence of nodular thickening noted in right true vocal chord approximately 10 x 8 mm. Rest of everything is normal. Can you please help let us know whether it could be treated with radiation therapy only or any surgery would further be needed ??

The nodular thickening on the vocal cord is whether cancerous or due to some other reason. Whether you have been examined by ENT specialist so far or not. It may be due to tuberculosis. But this can be decided by the specialist after thorough medical exam and certain tests before a conclusive diagnosis can be made. It will be better if you can discuss this with your ENT specialist. But it should not be delayed.
