X ray attached does it need an operation as one of the doctor prescribed. at ankle. Please suggest operation or plaster.

You should get a screw fixation or TBW done to stabilise the fracture. Also it is wise to opt for surgery as it allows early rehabilitation and predictable results.

Absolutely, this is an unstable fracture n would not unite well unless fixed with a surgical fixation asap.
