Which Doctor speciality can best handle diabetic foot. It's Diagnosis and treatment. Patient fell from bike and got an infection on feet,not sure if he is having diabetic foot or not. He is a diabetes patient

Hello.. Any foot injury f/b infection in diabetes patient's needs  more attention than routine wounds bcz raised blood sugar is added risk factor. Managing such wounds usually require multidisciplinary approach with endocrinologist for diabetes control and general /foot surgeon for debridement of any daily dressing etc....!!!

Diabetic food treatment is a team approach. First need to control sugars if not controlled any procedure done is not useful. Similarly need to have a good surgeon/plastic surgeon/podiatry surgeon who can do good work. So it’s a team approach.

Dear Sir An injury to foot in a diabetic does not make it diabetic foot. Please take online consult for image of injury, information regarding your diabetes ie medication and blood test and recent sugar levels.
