I am fighting depression since few months alone. I am a 17 years old girl and from India. Right now, I am in class 11 and preparing for medical entrance exams. I am highly stressed. My parents and teachers are expecting very good results from me. But due to depression, I can't even focus on my studies nowadays. I very dissatisfied with myself and my parents are very surprised at my low scores in the last test. Even if I want to change, I can't. Sometimes, I even have suicidal ideations.

I understand that you are going through a very difficult stage. Please do ask for professional help from psychiatrist and psychologist. Academic stress is a contributing factor for you. At the earliest start psychotherapy sessions followed by assessment with psychiatrist. Medicine and/or therapy, counselling will definitely help you dealing with depression, performance anxiety and even study skills. There is a way out. Suffering is not an option. Help is just one call away.
