Depression and insomnia
I have depression and severe insomnia and in 1996, Prodep and Amixide was prescribed. In 2004 I had a heart attack with a right coronary artery block and was done By Pass surgery in 2005, using RIMA LIMA method. Prodep continued but Amixide was stopped. Now, I have severe insomnia and nervous tingling of urethra creating serious restless legsl syndrome. Amixide suited me fine for 6 years plus. Now that 12 years have passed since my By pass Surgery can I take Amixide again
Thank you for asking. Amixide is not good for heart. It is not indicated in heart condition. Therefore, I would suggest not to take that tablet. For your problem of insomnia, there are various cradio safe medicines available. Initially for the treatment to set in, it will take some time. You will need to consult a psychiatrist for this issue, follow his treatment for substantial period. There are drugs available with similar property as that of Amixide but with cardiac safe profile.
