Dear Patient, Extractions are always done under local anesthesia. That means the site from where extraction has to be done will be numbed. After that you will feel no pain, just a feeling of whatever is happening. And after extraction, the dentist will prescribe you a few medications which you ll have to take for 5-7 days.

What you are experiencing is anxiety which is very common.  Discuss your fears with your dentist and he will be able to calm you down better. Be relaxed as the only pain you will feel is the prick of the injection... That's it. However if you are still not ready for the extraction ask your dentist for treatment under conscious sedation using nitrous oxide gas or general anesthesia
