As he has high myopia and not wearing glasses there is chances of amblyopia, in my suggestion monofocal iol will be better if he can weak near glasses and if he don't want to wear glasses at all so can go for edof iol.

As the patient doesn't wear glasses also and does normal work. So you go for clareon vivity iol, it's a premium iol and affordable too.

Considering the age and and other criteria I guess the lens best suited for him should be an imported/ Indian EDOF lenses. Also the trifocal lenses he might have glare and haloes which is a very common side effects with these types of lenses.

Depends on the iol power calculations and surgeons preference. If comfortable wearing near vision glasses then monofocal lenses will give the best clarity. There can be risk of haloes and glare with multifocal lens but he will be free of glasses.
Next Steps
Rely on the expertise and advice of operating surgeon for final decision.
