Dengue-platelets count dropping

My husband is suffering from dengue, on 3rd day of dengue he had 2.85 lakh count for platelets.Today on 6th day it's 1.20 only. He is hospitalized, but no improvement in platelets count. Is it worrysome? Any advice? TIA
