Dementia, Parkinson's disease, Bed riddn

My father 78 diagnosed dementia and Parkinson's disease one year ago. Progressive decline in his health despite treatment. Now he fears that he would fall down, so bed ridden. We make him sit to eat food, but lie down immediately. Taking Ropark and revostigmin tablet. Unable to control or recognize defecation and passes urine wherever he is. Unable to communicate. Speaks random sentences. Living in a room with no sunlight. What do you suggest. Please help us to help him.

Hello there. I can understand your concern. Parkinson's can be managed by medicines, so he needs to take those regularly as suggested. For other issues, you should really take him to a psychiatrist in person for further evaluation and management. Best regards. Dr. Anil Kumar Jain. Bangalore.
