Damon braces and gaps

2018-08-12 07:28:30
Hi doc, Earlier I did not have any gaps in between my teeth. However they were slightly forward. My dentist had to remove 2 teeth(one from each side) from up and 2 from down in order to fit damon braces. After 1 year and 3 months, the gap where teeth was removed has filled. But I can see some gap in between other teeth being created newly. My doctor told new gum will get formed there which may take few months. Is that true? If yes, how many months it is expected to take? Please help.

Hello, If the gums have moved down and not attached to the teeth then after scaling the gums will com back to normal . But if there is gap between the teeth it cannot be closed by gums so kindly consult your dentist .

Hi, Certainly this gap won't fill up by a new gum growth there. This is a case of relapse. Tooth movement is the best and natural way to close these gaps.
