Daily eating plan for a 55 year old

2020-08-07 08:23:58
My mother is a retired army officer. She has on and off migraine . Cholesterol has mainly been controlled. However overall health remains frail on most days. Lacks energy and strength. I don't know if it's my fear or over thinking. She says there is nothing major. But if you could plz suggest foods to include or supplements as a woman I'd be grateful. I want her to feel energetic and strong.

Hello, I understand your concern towards your mother's health and good to know her cholesterol is controlled. To be able to help you better we require her details such as her current height, weight, eating habits, medical conditions if any, medications, sleep, stress, physical activity, etc. This helps in understanding the gap areas and correcting them accordingly. I suggest you connect with us through a personalized diet session as it takes into account all the above mentioned details and we will be able to guide you accurately for all your concerns. As a start following guidelines can be of help - 1. Ensure she has balanced meals with carbs,  proteins and fiber 2. Never skip meals or have long meal gaps as long meal gaps also trigger migraine 3. Incorporate two fruits throughout the day preferably mid meals 4. Water intake should be 2-3 litres throughout the day 5. Exercise daily for minimum 30 minutes can be as simple as brisk walk or easy indoor exercises 6. Avoid sugar, sweets, fried foods, processed and packaged foods

Hi, I understand your concern, but to help you more details are required like, age, height, weight, biochemical parameters, dietary habits etc. A proper balanced diet should be followed by a geriatric person, specially  which rich in vital micro nutrients like  different vitamins, calcium, iron etc along with good quality protein, which boost immune system and maintaining functions of vital organs at the same time. Include more fresh fruits and vegetables in daily diet and should have a sound sleep about 6-7 hours.
