Hi, ideally a doctor needs to inspect the cut to advise further treatment. But since this is not possible now, I would just tell you the protocols that we follow. Usually a wound by a sharp object like a knife or a glass piece is clean and with sharp margins. Unless the object itself was dirty with other contaminants, a thorough wash with sterile water and immediate suturing of the wound would be advisable with additional medicines like pain killers and/or anti-biotics. Leaving it open for too long might invite infection or may lead to healing with painful scars and contractures. So I would advise you to consult a doctor or a surgeon particularly, for a proper assessment of the wound as soon as possible. Hope this helps.
