Schizophrenia is not curable as of today. And because there is no cure, getting an early diagnosis and proper medication under the Psychiatrist's supervision is a beneficial. The Treatment is life long and with Proper medication and Therapy, the client's awareness can be tapped in and the person having schizophrenia can manage life in a productive as well depending on tge types and severity of the disorder. Having a Mental illness might be very traumatic. Again that depends from person to person. Having said this, we need to nurture our mental health to prevent the onset or relapse of any symptoms..

Schizophrenia is treatable when the symptoms are identified at the earliest. If it is not treated at the earliest and if patient doesn't use medications regularly as prescribed by the psychiatrist, then there are chances of the disease getting worsened. There are some good prognostic factors and bad prognostic factors as well. Medications should be given compulsorily. Counselling techniques also added on to the treatment process gives very good results
