  4. CRP Level High. Rid of the infection?

My son having 5yrs old is having CRP level of around 170 and he's given antibiotics through injection for past three days. Is this the only way to get rid of the infection? Because I am worried about giving too much of antibiotics affects his health in future. Please suggest

Crp 170 is high.so iv antibiotics is needed For how long that will depend upon the clinical condition of baby. Ideally you shud continue with your doc advice

Should get the Blood Culture and Sensitivity test done. Get other routine investigations also done. But what are the symptoms ??
Next Steps
Should get CRP level checked again after 8 - 12 hours to whether child is responding to the treatment or not ? If not need to change the antibiotics depending upon Culture and Sensitivity report.

Greetings since it's High infection, best option is through iv . So don't worry it won't harm baby

Intravenous antibiotics has to be given for certain duration like 5 to 7days depending on situation, and it's the only way to get rid of infection so high.
