Crp and Esr high after 14 days of covid

My dad is having mild fever 98-99. He is not taking any tablet now. But his CRP is 61.85 and ESR is 95. He had taken medrol 8mg for 5 days 1 week back and then stopped. Should be start medrol again as inflammation is high? Will inflammation not reduce on its own?

98-99 is normal temperature. Kindly specify why he was given Medrol. Was he diagnosed with covid or not. And yes raised CRP & ESR needs further evaluation.

This time covid has a different course of disease than the last year. This time a set of covid patients having long symptoms and delayed recovery. I think prolong inflammation is the reason. Complications are arising in the late phase. As for your case after 14 days CRP 61 shouldn't be ignored but only CRP can't be a point of worry. Clinical status and other parameters including D dimer and Ferritin are also important to assess recovery. Inflammation will definitely be reduced on its own but the question is 'when'. Steroid may be re initiated depending on further evaluation. And 98-99 temperature- not fever.
