Hi, as of the clinical picture posted, swelling on the gums seems to be due to some sort of irritation/ infection. As of crack if it invloves oly your first or second layer of teeth ( you would experience sensitivity), only a filling of that crackes portion after cleaning would give you relief. But if it involves the third layer of teeth and if it goes through your gums( you would experience pain) rct is required. But further co relation with radiographs is required.
