Covid symptoms and rtpcr test

How long should we wait observing the symptoms to take rtpcr test. I have some cough sensation in chest area and it's on and off sometimes. No other symptoms. Oxygen levels are above 97/98. My mom had diarrhea for half day and no other problem afterwards. Brother said having throat pain during night and fine later. Confused and anxious...🙄

Would advise to consult a doctor and start on medication.. because even if you do get a rt PCR ,the results will take few days to come.. according to my opinion you it's not advisable to delay the treatment...if your doctor feels you have covid related symptoms..she will start treatment for you..
