Coughing continuously
My sister is coughing dry continuously for 4 days and she even can't talk properly. Dr. has asked her to give a drip, is it true that she does not have dengue as well?
Dengue presents with fever, severe bodyaches , loss of appetite
Having dry cough for four days doesn't conclude that the patient is suffering from dengue
A drip is given when patient is unable to accept orally n is dehydrated.
To rule out dengue tests like CBC

No if there is nothing like fever , bodyache , pain abdomen , generalised weakness then we can exclude dengue , for confirmation u can get a cbc , ns -1 antigen , dengue serology tests done , u can take allegra m tablet bd for 7 days that will help in relief from dry cough
