Hi, My daughter is 2.5 months old and recently from the 2-3 days i have found she has a cough which can be identified while she is crying and something I am taking her on my shoulder for burping. So could you please help me with what I should do to treat this.

Occassional cough in newborn could be due to clearing of secretions in throat. But several episodes of coughs in a day ,not taking feeds , fast breathing, fever are warning signs..if above symptoms are present kindly get examined in person.
