Cough and cold for 21 days baby
From 5 days my small baby 21 days , having cough and cold. Some times heavy cough. We consultant doctor on Saturday 25 th Aug and the doctor said that it is infection. And suggested maxtra 3 ml 3 times daily for 5 days and nasoclean . We are using these medicine since from that day . But still she ia suffering with heavy cough some times in day. But no ferver as of now.
May i know how it will continue? What to do now. When should revisit the doctor.

Cough will reduce slowly.. it will atleast take one weeks time for it to completely treatment... So give the medicines given to you for the next few days and observe. If it's still not coming down get a chest x-ray and show it to your pediatrician.
Please make sure your giving warm water for drinking.

If the baby is feeding normally and active,without breathlessness and passing urine normally,just give steam inhalations for cold and cough and decongestant nasal drops for nasal block or increased cough on lying down.
But if any of the above is problematic,consult your paediatrician for physical examination and treatment.
