Continuous brown spots since one month.

After unprotected sex on 13th September, I took an ipill tablet within 24 hours. This was the first time I took a hormonal contraceptive. After that, from 22nd September I started getting brown discharge, which is still visible every day even after a month. I got my periods on 14th October, but now even after my periods have stopped, brown spots continue to appear. I am worried whether this  brown discharge is due to some STDs? Is it possible to have so much hormonal imbalance after taking the pill that brown discharge persists for more than a month? please someone answer the question.
