So if someone has any of these stool problem, it is called chronic constipation ? or specifically if someone has one of them is called chronic constipation ? 1:- Passing stool fewer than three times in a week for 3 months or longer. 2:- passing fewer stools than normal for three months or longer. 3:- having difficulty while passing a stool.

Not passing stool for more than 24 to 48 hours is constipation.  If this persists for > 4 weeks, it is chronic. Passing tight stool is relative constipation.
