Consider the following points on rabies

2024-06-07 07:07:32
Street dog A scratched  vaccinated dog B on 25th Dec 2023 and died after 25days 1.B was vaccinated with nobivac rabies on 4th April 2023, 8month before incident, which was his 3rd dose since he born. 2.he was again vaccinated with nobivac rabies on 22Feb (yearly vaccination before traveling) 3.upon hearing dog death he was again vaccinated with 5course RAKSHARAB. last dose was 5th April .Till date dog B is healthy happy. 4.dog A was not drooling biting anyone or not in paralytic condition for 16days. Playful with other dog before death also. 5.Died on 3rd floor roof so we can consider he was not paralytic while he could climb up stairs. 6. 6 months have passed no society dog become rabid or dead till now. 7.3months passed since his yearly vaccination from Feb 23rd and 2months completed after 5PEP. Although the vaccination started late for PEP can we consider my dog is safe now if we assume that dog was died of rabies?plz consider the point dog A died after 25days.

If the dog was not drooling not showing any symptoms of rabies and was playful and that to died 25 days after biting and not within 10 days then there is almost no chance that he had rabies at the time of bite. And as a precautionary measure u already have done the post bite and annual vaccination was already being given then your dog is safe and there is almost no chance of him catching rabies

There is a simple test to confirm that the B dog is completely safe. It is called "Rabies antibody titer test."If the test comes out with recommended titer level, it is a fact that the B dog is safe and will never get rabies infection due to the scratch made by dog A.

No need to worry. There should be expected results of routine vaccination and post bite ARV shots done.
Next Steps
Rabies antibody titer test should be done. If it comes > 0.5 IU , Be one hundred percent sure and happy.
Health Tips
Blood testing / serological analysis is the key. Rest all is guess work. Hope this helps. thanks 😊
