Confused with tongue issue
Hi from 3rd Aug i started facing this issue in my tongue.their are some patches with smooth center.by 8th Aug it too many patches but then suddenly it started reducing but now from yesterday again i am seeing same.went to ent and OMFS both told different thing.Ent told-geo tongue and lichen planus,he mentioned its non cancerous not to worry.where as OMFS told its more like geo tongue.pls help what i should believe its very concerning for me.attaching pic for reference.

These lesions seem to be like geographical tongue.
However, exact diagnosis can be made only after biopsy, which doesn't seem to be necessary at this point, since there are no other symptoms.
Next Steps
Nothing to worry as of now.
But in case you feel the lesson spreading to other parts of the mouth (inner lips or cheek) or feel any burning sensation do visit an oral pathologist or oral medicine specialist.

The pictures are consistent with the diagnosis of Geographic tongue unless ruled otherwise.
Geographic tongue can be precipitated by stress, hormonal changes ,nutritional deficiencies like Vit B12/B 6,Zinc etc
Usually is self correcting .If symptomatic ask OMFS to prescribe medication

Avoid Spicy/acidic food ,Rinse mouth after meals
