The behaviours you describe can sometimes be seen in children with developmental or communication challenges, including autism. However, these signs alone are not enough to confirm anything without a proper evaluation.
Next Steps
I recommend a detailed developmental assessment by a child psychologist or pediatrician experienced in autism spectrum disorders. Early support can make a big difference. You may consult me for guidance and counselling strategies tailored to your child's needs.
Health Tips
Avoid labeling too early- children may show such behaviours for many reasons, including shyness or delayed social skills. Meanwhile, encourage eye contact through play, use visual aids, and maintain a structured routine at home.

Most likely. Consult first a child psychiatrist and then a set of assessments need to be done to confirm the severity of autism, if so, along with developmental quotient and other parameters to arrive at a comprehensive treatment plan.

It needs further assessment for confirming a diagnosis As per my opinion, you have various options in Delhi where you can visit for detailed assessment as Birth history, milestones etc Do not conclude any diagnosis, first plan a consultation with Psychiatrist specially child Psychiatrist either Aiims Delhi, or other private sector hospitals On the basis of assessment, management will be planned

Are you noticing it from early childhood or the symptoms are new? This can be symptoms of autism and not of autism equally. More information is required to diagnose. You should talk to your pediatrician first then if required, any neuro psychiatrist.

It is a sign of autism but poor eye contact can have various reasons and it would be better to get him consulted before coming to a conclusion. Hope that helps
