When is nebulization suggested? Is it safe to use nebulization? Is it true if once the child is given nebulization, every time he gets cold and cough nebulization should be given? Can syrups treat incessant chesty cough and rhintis, end expiratory wheeze

Nebulisation is given if required . Evry time may not require nebulisation. Yes syrups relief cough and cold .

Nebulisation is used to deliver drugs directly to the respiratory system. First your paediatrician will assess whether your child has any narrowing in respiratory tract for which nebulization may be necessary. It does not cause dependence, so he might not need it every time if given once.

Although widely used, nebulization has a slight associated risk of ventilation perfusion mismatch which may result in deterioration of the patient . So should be used cautiously only if prescribed
