Coccyx pain

Recently i have been suffering from huge back pain in lower portion. Upon consultation to my physician he informed me that it is due to coccyx pain.. Now i have taken consultation with a orthopaedic in AMRI hospital in kolkata, and he suggested me that this problem arises due to bad sitting posture and advised to take Pregabid NT 75 medicine for 6 weeks and asked me for next consultation. As i have recently gone through lap appendix surgery hence he prohibited me for any kind of excercise. Now, i want to know is the medicine he gave is right?? Also i have using heat bag, ice pack and coccyx cushion for daily use. What other precautions should i have to take?? I'm feeling little tensed and should this problem rises again in near future??

If it's coccydynia, what has been suggested is right.. if pain doesn't subside by 2 weeks, a re evaluation is needed..

Yes the treatment seems ok.. Wait for 2 weeks and if there is no relief then you should go for another xray..
Next Steps
Xray if there is no relief or pain increases
Health Tips
Strictly use sacral seat while sitting. Avoid sitting directly on hard surfaces.
