Dr. Do I need vaccine for chicken pox if I already had chicken pox earlier 15-16 years ago. Here in my Hostel 1 got chicken pox.

Hello there. I can understand your concern. The thing about chicken pox is that once a person gets it, he becomes immune to chicken pox for the rest of his life. In most cases, getting chickenpox once means you will not get it again. This is called lifelong immunity. There will be no need of vaccination at this age. However, in rare cases, a person gets it again.i suggest to take another opinion before you proceed.
