Cervical spondylosis reversal

2025-10-11 14:15:38
I am having pain in my back & arm for the second time this year, the previous time it lasted for two weeks. Can I reverse this thing by regular exercise, chin tucks, physio or surgery is the last resort. Do u think I need to have surgery at this moment. Case studies/experiences are also appreciated.

I would need to examine you thoroughly, study the x ray and MRI and then give you the exact plan of management. However, if you've asked about physiotherapy, let me tell you it is effective in reducing (not reversing if it is a mechanical problem) your pain provided you follow a customised protocol depending on the severity of your symptoms. Random exercises will not help, in turn it can worsen the problem.
Next Steps
Visit a Orthopaedic consultant. discuss the plan of management.
Health Tips
avoid huge pillows cut down on your screen time if you're a computer professional, make sure you have a correct seating posture. Thank you

U need to built core muscles of neck, most of such problems can b treated by neck strengthening exercises. One must not start exercises during acute phase of cervical spndylosis. Initial treatment should b with anti inflammatory medication and neurotrophic drug’s, once acute phase is over, then physical therapy and rehabilitation protocol should b followed.

Do you have any neurological symptoms? Like weakness in hand or difficulty in walking? If not, continue conservative treatment with physiotherapy
