Cervical cerclarge stitch

Am 15 weeks pregnant and my doc suggested to get cervical cerclarge stitch as my cervic length was 2.9 cmm with pressure and 3.1 without pressure Is there any risk because of it like misscarriage or any infections and how would the pain be

Proper assessment of cervix is  needed.. So can't comment on other doctors finding.. If  you seek a second opinion  meet a gynac nearby
