Hello, My son is 4 years old and having tooth pain. But my son didn't complain about pain before, only from couple of days he is getting pain. Doctor suggested for Pulpotomy. Is Pulpotomy safe for 4 years kid? Do we need to go for x-ray to check if pulpotomy is really required? I have attached the tooth image for reference.

Pulpotomy is totally safe for kids. If X-ray is needed then dental surgeon will do that. This is a normal procedure for deep cavity in deciduous teeth.

Yes, Pulpotomy is completely safe. When the cavity reaches the nerves of the tooth in a deciduous (milk) tooth, then Pulpotomy or Pulpectomy is required, means the doctor will be removing the infected pulp from the tooth.
Next Steps
Visit a Pediatric Dentist and get it done.
Health Tips
Adv maintaining oral hygiene and brushing twice a day with soft bristles toothbrush.

Visit a pedodontist, an xray is a must before deciding whether pulpotomy or a pulpectomy is required. Both procedures are safe and yes 4 year olds also need to get tis treatment done due to the cavity gone too deep.
