Indian IOLs are safe, effective, and affordable, with quality on par with global standards. Imported options may offer extra features but at a much higher cost. The choice depends on patient’s clinical condition, budget and surgeon’s advice.

Totally depends on your budget, Imported Lenses are proven for their quality so it is usually preferable. But many Indian companies are producing better quality lenses which are as good as Imported.

I think your doctor is referring to “intra ocular lens” by indian/imported. Intra ocular lens implants are a part of cataract surgery and Indian as well as imported lenses work equally well. You may get some premium features with some imported lenses for example, freedom from glasses post surgery etc. In the long run both are good.
