Can tb be genetic

My father had tb and after some years he was diagnosed with lung cancer stage 4 and he died after few months. Now my brother is having mild cough from few days. It's a very mild cough no other symptoms are there. He dose's not smoke. Cough is dry. I just want to know if tuberculosis can be hereditary? Should he get a X-ray of lungs done?

TB is infective disease but not genetic. But TB can predispose SQC. Need to evaluate. Take online consultation for better evaluation and treatment.

Get a chest X ray done if it is prolonged for 2 weeks. TB is not hereditary

its not genetic but definitely transferable since he was in the contact..at least get an xray and sputum investigations to rule out active disease
