I want to know if it is fine to skip breakfast, as I have my lunch at 12pm daily? I stay at home and don't require that much energy.

- It is a very common thing to skip breakfast as some feel it is not required. Breakfast is an important part of a meal because it gives you energy for the day. Even if you stay at home breakfast is important as your body needs some energy in the morning for metabolism, concentration, and hormonal balance. - Skipping breakfast can lead to overeating during lunch which may lead to obesity. Not having breakfast on a regular basis can lead to acidity, headaches, tiredness and fatigue in some individuals. Even a light breakfast like some fruit with milk or sprouts bowl or bread omelet is enough. It is always better not to skip breakfast. A light, balanced breakfast will improve energy levels, digestion, and will have a positive impact on long-term health. Also ensure you include some physical activity if you are staying at home.

I completely understand that working from home makes skipping breakfast feel convenient, but your body doesn’t see it that way. Skipping breakfast often leads to slower metabolism, fat storage around the belly, sugar cravings in the evening, mood swings, and poor concentration at work. As a clinical & sports dietitian, my role is not to force you into heavy or time-consuming meals, but to create smart, quick, and metabolism-activating breakfast plans that fit seamlessly into your work-from-home schedule. The right breakfast can actually improve your energy, focus, and fat-burning capacity throughout the day. If you want your body and brain to perform like high-speed internet instead of a buffering video, we need to customize your nutrition timing now. With a few small but strategic changes, you’ll see a big difference in your weight, energy, and mood balance within weeks.

Healthy morning Skipping breakfast is not good for everyone Instead of heavy breakfast, go for light , protein rich options like boiled eggs, Greek yogurt and nuts and seeds If you prefer to skip , make sure to first meal I.e. lunch is balanced with protein, fiber and healthy fats Avoid processed snacks , tea/ coffee on empty stomach as they irritate gut and increase acidity
