Can normal dental checkup cause problem

I went to a dentist today for a normal checkup. I was the first patient in evening. The dentist didn't used glove and then checked my oral region from her magnifying glass instrument and used only a suction. She checked only for 2-3 mins and everything was fine. I have health anxiety and so I am constantly thinking that can I get any disease such as Herpes, HPV from this. They said that they sterilize their instruments. Though she didn't wore gloves but didn't touch my mouth as such. Kindly help me

Hi, It is absolutely normal to do a general examination with the help of instruments without gloves. If there is any direct examination, then the dentist will wear gloves.
