Can ACL be treated without surgery.

I have grade 2 tear on one knee and grade 3 tear on other knee as per ortho. There is no meniscus tear. I can walk, fold knee, do basic chores and have slight pain though. Can it be treated just with rehab and supplementation.

In young active individuals, it’s better to get it operated. As it will prevent you from doing any activities such as running, dancing, sports etc. Also it may lead to damage to other structures such as meniscus and cartilage and lead to early onset of osteoarthritis.

ACL tear at your age should be treated by surgery. Yes ur able to do all movement now but an ACL deficient knee develops osteoarthritis faster than usual. So get it fixed at this stage
