Bruises at injection sites
Hello Doctors,
I am 10 weeks pregnant and taking daily blood thinner injections Enoxaparin 40 mg. I inject in my thighs rotating sites daily. I have developed small lumps and bruise marks at the injection spots which take several days to fade. What can I do to reduce or prevent these marks while continuing the injections?
I already use ice pack 2 times in a day. what else can I use to remove it early?

If your CT and BT are normal then you can apply thromophobe ointment to reduce bruises. Actually They are side effect of enoxaparin inj as it introduce at subcutaneous level.

Bruises are one of the common side effects of subcutaneous enoxaparin injection… you can keep on changing the site of injection…apply ice and Thrombophob ointment on the affected areas …. If it continues get one CBC and consult your doctor
