You should do non weight bearing joint mobilizing exercises. Don't  make haste for weight bearing. You need dynamization of the fracture. Kindly consult your attending surgeon.

Start with partial weight bearing then progress to full weight bearing walking. Perform static and dynamic quadriceps exercises.

It is only 6 weeks, so the leg will be painful. It is very early days. It takes 3-6 months for the fracture to heal. Physiotherapy should be guided by your surgeon, as they will be monitoring you closely
