Bone pain in Right Thumb

I am observing pain in my right thumb bone from past few days wherein I am not able to bend/move the thumb properly. I have got the x-ray done and shown it to doctor wherein he is saying that there is a hairline fracture and has suggested thumb immobilizer braces. Further, I need a second advice so please help
