Body Temperature is low all the time. It is showing 97.5. It should be 98.5 right? Why does this happen??

Are you checking in the axilla (arm pit) ? Surface/skin temperature is slightly less than body temperature thus we add 1*F Even if checking in mouth, they thermometer could be falty. Even if it isn't faulty and is working fine, this temperature is within the normal range
