Blood test post pain

My mother had blood test today her veins are usually hard to find so the technician inserted the needle she felt severe pain and he adjusted the needle pain increased so he took out the needle from elbow pricked area now she has pain in arm is it normal or anything serious?

She should move her arm about 8-10 times. It will be all right.
