My mother's blood sugar level is 21. She has been given medication now. What is the cause and what are the risks of such low sugar?

Her diabetes medicines should be changed to a lower dose. There could be many causes like overdose, kidney or liver disorders, thyroid issues, etc.

Give her something to it. Monitor sugars till those come.back to normal. If she is on antidiabetic medicines those need to be changed. If not the cause of hypoglycemia needs to be worked out.
