My father age is 70. His bp is 160/98. But he doesn't have any problem or hypertension symptoms. His sugar/cholesterol is also normal. What can be the reason of his high bp???. Should he need medication??

Aging results in a decrease in the elasticity of blood vessels. One of the effects is a rise in blood pressure. It is a part and parcel of old age.
Next Steps
Get him checked with a registered medical practitioner who will advise further on treatment. Control of high blood pressure is necessary.

This can be normal for his age. Do not worry. As we age , our blood vessels get thicker and can cause a high value . This could be normal for his body . Also , one value is not enough to mask a decision. He could be naxious when you chekc his BP and that can show a high value. Please repeat the measurement atleast 3 different times with time gap. If you have any other questions , pls consult with me in the app.
