That could have been anxiety related/hyperventilation, unlikely due to cardiac syncope. As your ECG is normal, you don't have any symptoms, don't need to be concerned

Based on the details shared, this episode appears more like a brief presyncope or anxiety-related event rather than a cardiac problem, especially given the very short duration, spontaneous recovery, absence of collapse, normal ECG, and young age. Such episodes can commonly be triggered by stress, posture, dehydration, or heightened anxiety. The development of cardiophobia afterward is understandable but reassuringly, there are no strong red-flag features suggesting heart disease here. With reassurance, lifestyle measures, and addressing anxiety, prognosis is generally very good.
Next Steps
Focus on reassurance, good hydration, regular meals, sleep, and light exercise. Avoid repeatedly checking your heart unless advised. If anxiety or cardiophobia persists, speaking to a doctor or mental health professional can help.

If the episode has not happened again that is reassuring. In any case get a Holter Monitor test, Echocardiogram and routine bloods (CBP, HbA1C, Kindey function tests). All the best. J G S R clinic

Based on the description, this episode appears to be a brief presyncopal event, most likely related to vasovagal response or anxiety-related autonomic fluctuation. The very short duration (5–6 seconds), absence of complete loss of consciousness, spontaneous recovery, lack of chest pain or palpitations, and a normal ECG significantly reduce the likelihood of a cardiac cause. Since the event occurred 3 months ago without recurrence, serious cardiac conditions are unlikely. The current symptoms are more suggestive of cardiophobia or health anxiety, which is common after such benign episodes. Reassurance, stress management, adequate hydration, regular sleep, and avoiding excessive caffeine are advised. Cardiology review is only needed if symptoms recur or are associated with syncope, chest pain, or palpitations.
Next Steps
• Reassurance is key • Limit Googling symptoms • Regular physical activity • Breathing exercises • CBT if anxiety persists • Avoid unnecessary repeated ECGs
Health Tips
Seek evaluation only if: • Actual fainting occurs • Recurrent episodes • Chest pain, palpitations • Breathlessness • Family history of sudden cardiac death
