Black/Brown Patch on Forehead
I have noticed a brown/black patch on right side of my forehead since last 1 month. I was in Manali a hill station for 15 days. before going there this mark was not there on my forehead. But since I came back this mark developed.I don't have any allergy,previously diagnosed condition neither Iam on any medication.I have attached a photo of my forehead.
Diagnostic possibilities for this lichenoid hyperpigmented patch are :
1. Contact dermatitis : possible causes are recent use of hair color , use of cosmetic products etc.,
Itching and redness are cardinal features of contact dermatitis
2. Lichen planus pigmentosus : Its an autoimmune disease with lichenoid hyperpigmentation , without any symptom like itching or redness
There are many other skin conditions which are identical to your forehead patch along with above mentioned conditions
It will clear with topical medications .

Frequent application of moisturizing lotion or cononut oil or vaseline (7 to 8 times a day ) help in both lichen planus and contact dermatitis.

Have you applied any cream? Or rubbed any cream? Did you use any sunscreen while you were travelling. Does it itch? Looks like irritant contact allergy.
Next Steps
Use a cleanser to wash face. Moisturizing cream morning night. Avoid rubbing in that area. Use sunscreen when go out in sun.
