Respected sir/madam i had NT scan and double marker test... In that scan nt scan is normal and double marker has shown low risk... After that I had anamoly scan ...in that scan..every thing is normal but in KUB right renal pelvis is 7.4mm and left renal pelvis is 7.5mm... After 4weeks of follow up growth scan.. Evry thing is normal except Kub again it's shown bilateral pelviectasia Right ranel pelvis 8mm left renal pelvis is 9mm.. This time has increased... Liquor is 23cms My questions are... 1.Does it leads to any chromosomal abnormalities like down or trisomy ? 2.Is this common to all babies? 3.If the renal pelvis continues to grow like this how baby will survive? 4.Baby is urinating ?are kidneys are functioning well? 5.what if persists after birth? 6.I have mild hydronephrosis in my left kidney...is this genetically passed to my baby? 7.how much size will it reach at 34 36 weeks of pregnancy Note: baby is active ...it's kicking well ...my current gestational age is 25weeks 4 days

You are the third person on Practo within one week who is facing this problem. I don't know whether there is an epidemic of pelviectasia or the same person has asked this question three times. Please consult me on Practo for further information and details.

Ur nt and double marker and tiffa is normal no need to worry about downs and chromosomal anamolies As b/l pelviectasis is a single finding needs monitoring but it will be seen in most of the babies in womb but it is on little higher side which requires follow up only Maximum it will be normalise after birth but needs follow up now you cannot do anything Inform pediatrician after birth and do get one scan for the baby after birth
