Betacap tr 40 - daily dosage

2025-10-20 18:34:10
I was diagnosed with a neuro problem and was prescribed Tryptomer 25 mg (once daily) and Trigabactin (twice daily). My nerve pain improved a lot, but I started having palpitations and a hollow feeling in my stomach. Later, my doctor changed the medicines to Placida (twice daily) and Gabapentin (once daily), but palpitations continued. Then my physician added Betacap 40 TR (twice daily), and now my heart rate stays around 60–68 bpm, but I feel low and tired. I also have severe anxiety with occasional anxiety attacks. Could these symptoms (low heart rate, tiredness) be due to Betacap or medicine interaction? Is it safe to continue? And what can help manage anxiety and palpitations better?

Beta apply tr reduces b.p., as well, low b.p. can cause weakness. Get your b.p. checked, thyroid profile done, share results. Reduce beta cap t.r. to 10mg daily. For anxiety, palpitations,  learn to relax adequately . One time offline consultation with a psychiatrist would also be helpful.

Hi. Considering your symptoms occured after addition of Betacap 40mg twice a day, it does seem your low pulse rate and feeling of fatigue may be due to the effects of this medication. But we need to chart your Bp for that.
Next Steps
It would be best to have chart your Bp 2 times a day - one early morning after you wake up, and the other at mid-noon or evening Bp, and then consult in person with a physician alongwith your Bp chart. this can help decide whether Tab Betacap needs to be lowered or not.
Health Tips
incase of lightheadedness or sudden weakness, have a salt-sugar mixture (Namak shikanji).
